Logging in. . .

I don't know if anyone else has noticed. . .but if you aren't logged in then the forum asks you to fill out this little box thing to prove you are human. . .well I *just* realized this tonight. . .

For some reason when I came to reply my computer didn't keep me logged in, even though I totally asked it to! So now I know!

you know, that even happened to me, and I made the thing, hehehe. it is not there now, because I updated and that original code is gone, however, I will get a new one out that will protect the board from loser spam bots

i know cmplxty7 uses firefox, and she is always logged in. it is most likely the fact you are not allowing madd74.com to store cookies on your computer, because i use IE and have no problems either, and I obviously allow madd74.com to store a cookie, as I make them, fresh every day :)

I have never really played with my cookies. . .but I have no problems with other sites, LJ, for example. . .facebook signs me out whenver I close the window, but that is to be assumed.

Why didn't you call her Jen?

none that I have noticed, AND your site seems to be keeping me logged in, even when I close all browser windows, so yay!

LOL - I just took a while trying to figure out where I would post this, and when I finally found the correct "category", it would not let me make a new thread because I am not a moderator...good thing this thread was already here. I do not know if this would be because you've been messing with the site the last couple days, but it is not remembering me/my login tonight...even during the same internet session, going to other sites then coming back later. Just thought I would let you know. Also, should only a moderator (you) be able to start threads here? How are we supposed to let you know of problems in the designated area if we can't post here? :?:

The system will have problems if

a)you do not accept or allow cookies in your browser
b)are accessing forum.madd.com instead of madd74.com/forum (a problem I am working on, and might be fixed now, as I am in IE and it is working)

So, first thing, make sure that you accept cookies from madd74.com. Second, if you are using the subdomain, try the old way (madd74.com/forum). Also, try using IE as I know you otherwise use Firefox. If you still have problems, please let me know what testing you did. There are times when you might have to dump your cache. You can speak with your network administrator for assistance on this.

As for making support able to write by others... I... thought I had that. I will make sure to fix that by the end of the night.

well, the cookies have never been a problem, and when I was reading all last week I was still logged in every time I came to the site, and now I am not (even though I keep checking remember my login). ALSO - when I do login, it is not indicating there are new posts in any threads (like this one) with the checkmark symbol. I have to look at the dates on the far right to see if there have been posts since I Was last on.

FIX MY PROFILE :(
